Brittney and Connor's maternity photoshoot was like stepping into the world of elves and fairies. Her gown elegantly draped over her 8 month pregnant belly really popped in these images and Connor's suit complemented it perfectly. It was so much fun having their little dog Louie at the photoshoot and he was the perfect puppy model. I caught him licking both of them on the face and their smiles definitely portrayed their love for this little guy.
When we got to Folsom Lake, I was expecting an open field for them and instead got a small lake of water, so we adapted. The lighting was perfect an hour before sunset and we took full advantage of the setting sun. Many of these poses are ones I use for weddings, and looked beautiful on these soon to be parents. I love doing poses that are candid and filled with joy, so we do walking, dancing and kissing. I notice that my couples smile more when they are looking at each other rather than my camera. It's been a joy to capture this family's maternity season and I can't wait to meet their new baby in just a few short weeks.
